Empower to Change is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Social Worker to join our growing team as a Child & Adolescent Therapist. This part-time role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about supporting the emotional and developmental needs of youth and their families. The position offers flexible evening and weekend hours (15–20 hours per week) at our Brandon, Florida office, with a strong preference for in-person sessions. The Child & Adolescent Therapist will provide outpatient therapy to children, teens, and their families, addressing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, family conflict, and school-related stressors. We’re looking for someone who takes a warm, relational, and insight-oriented approach to treatment. Someone who can engage youth meaningfully while partnering with caregivers to foster long-term healing and growth. Responsibilities: • Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs • Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members • Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care • Work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans with goals and objectives • Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary • Provide therapy services to clients • Develop and implement treatment plans based on established therapeutic principles and evidence-based practice • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, physicians, counselors, and psychologists • Conduct initial interviews with clients for diagnostic clarification • Participate in continuing education activities to stay current on developments in mental health care Please note: This position is primarily for late evenings (after 5 PM) and weekends to meet clients' scheduling needs. There will be limited availability for 9-5 PM shifts. Qualifications: • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills • Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health therapist Compensation: $34 - $38 hourly
