Personal Lines Producer
Skeltis Insurance Agency LLC is looking for a Personal Lines Producer who knows that good insurance work is relationship work. That we are advisor to all of our customers and prospects alike. Someone that will work well in a team environment. Along with a great work ethic and positive mentality.
This is a role for someone who'd rather be the advisor a client calls first than a voice reading off a quote sheet.
What You'll Do
Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients — in person, by phone, online, and in writing
Build lasting client relationships through consistent follow-up, accurate and timely quotes, and responsive account support
Round accounts, recommend coverage increases where clients are exposed, network for new business, and pursue win-backs
Secure the best available coverage and rate for each insured: prepare quotes, bind coverage, and follow through on inspections, photos, and supporting documentation
Present policies clearly and educate clients on what their coverage actually does — and what it doesn't
Prepare clients for renewal and protect retention
Track and report on key metrics to stay ahead of sales targets, and document all sales activity accurately and on time
Collaborate with and mentor teammates, share your expertise, and contribute in team meetings
Maintain your CE and stay current on products, carriers, legislation, coverages, and agency technology
What You'll Bring
An active Michigan property & casualty insurance license — this role requires you to be licensed and ready to write business on day one
A great attitude and the effort to back it up — we can teach products and systems, we can't teach work ethic
Personal lines sales or account management experience
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong working knowledge of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and how the industry operates
A proven sales track record, with the presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills to close
A people-first, professionally assertive approach to winning new clients and keeping existing ones
Excellent organization, time management, and independent judgment — you can carry a difficult file to completion without being managed through it
Sharp written and verbal communication
Comfort with technology, including agency management systems
