Licensed Practical Nurse – Corrections
Location: Central City, KY
Rate: Up to $1500.00 Gross Weekly + benefits available from day 1
Shift: 12-Hour Days or Nights (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM OR 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Contract: 13-Week Contract | Local & Travel Accepted
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Active, unencumbered LPN license in KY
- Must be willing to work in a correctional facility environment
Certifications:
Responsibilities:
- Medication administration and pass under RN supervision
- Assist RN with patient assessments and care in health care unit and housing units
- Perform controlled substance counts each shift with proper documentation
- Obtain EKGs and lab specimens as ordered
- Respond to medical emergencies and codes per facility protocol
- Assist with minor procedures as needed
- Document nursing care using SOAP charting
- Follow established safety, infection control, and correctional facility protocols
