Doral Health & Wellness is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our on-site Dialysis Unit in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role follows a rotating Monday–Saturday schedule (MWF and TThS) and offers a rewarding opportunity to support patients undergoing dialysis for kidney disease and related conditions.
We’re looking for a dedicated LPN with strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Monitor and document vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to the RN or physician
- Administer prescribed medications within LPN scope of practice
- Prepare, set up, and monitor dialysis equipment; support vascular access site care
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to follow care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and home care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive care environment
Qualifications
- Active New York State LPN license
- Prior dialysis or nephrology experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Skilled in vascular access site care a plus
- Strong clinical observation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting
