Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support clinical operations at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a minimum-security federal prison camp for female inmates in rural southeastern West Virginia. You will administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and support patient care for the female inmate population.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications with accurate documentation
• Perform vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, wound care, and specimen collection
• Assist with sick call triage and intake screening
• Support chronic care and women's health clinics
• Monitor patients for adverse medication reactions
• Maintain medication storage areas
• Document nursing interventions in the BOP electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Accredited LPN/LVN program completion
• Active, unrestricted West Virginia LPN license (or ability to obtain)
• Current BLS certification
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to pass federal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

• Correctional or long-term care experience
• Women's health nursing experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $45,000 - $58,000 annually
