    We’re currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN) to join our growing Allergy and Asthma practice. In this role, you’ll support both patients and providers across a wide range of clinical duties—from testing and education to administering immunotherapy and supporting our food allergy program.

    You’ll work closely with physicians, NPs, nurses, and MAs in a team-based environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care are essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    Patient Care & Education:

    Educate patients and families on allergy and asthma care, including medication usage, respiratory spacer techniques, and anaphylaxis awareness.

    Provide compassionate and high-quality care during visits and procedures.

    Monitor patients during and after treatments, reporting concerns to the clinical lead.

    Clinical Procedures & Testing:

    Perform and assist with allergy skin prick testing, patch testing, spirometry, FeNO, and peak flow monitoring.

    Administer allergy immunotherapy, nebulized medications, and respiratory treatments per provider orders.

    Support patient intake, vital signs, and allergy shot administration.

    Assist with oral and drug challenge preparation and execution.

    Provider Support & Documentation:

    Prepare rooms and patients for provider visits and assist during procedures.

    Accurately document vitals, test results, and clinical notes in the EMR (ModMed).

    Send prescriptions and assist in creating care plans and discharge summaries.

    Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam and clinical spaces.

    Administrative & Operational Support:

    Submit prior authorizations, prepare allergy testing trays, and manage emergency medication checks.

    Prepare allergy serum and oral desensitization vials using sterile technique per ACAAI guidelines.

    Support front and back office as needed based on clinic needs.

    Training, Compliance & Professional Standards:

    Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

    Participate in onboarding and training of new team members.

    Maintain clinical competency and follow guidance from nursing leadership.

    Demonstrate and model Modena’s preferred clinical techniques.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Licenses & Certification:

    Active LPN license in the state of employment (Arizona)

    Current CPR and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Experience:

    2–3 years in an outpatient clinical setting; allergy/immunology experience preferred

    Experience with EMRs (ModMed experience a plus)

    Phlebotomy experience

    Comfortable performing diverse clinical tasks independently and using sound judgment

    Skills & Abilities:

    Skilled in pulmonary testing (spirometry, FeNO, peak flow)

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

    Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts)

    Occasional lifting (5–25 pounds), bending, stooping, and reaching

    Frequent hand use for clinical care and documentation

    Normal (or corrected) vision and hearing required

    Ability to respond quickly in urgent situations and move between exam rooms and clinical spaces
