Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Location: Aurora, OH - Local Long-Term Care Facilities (Community-Based)

We are seeking a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health care to older adults and medically complex individuals. This role offers more than a traditional counseling position — it provides clinical autonomy, consistent weekday scheduling, and strong operational support so you can focus on patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, family, and group therapy to residents in long-term care settings

Conduct clinical assessments, psychosocial evaluations, screenings, and treatment planning

Support residents experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, adjustment to illness, behavioral disturbances, and substance use concerns

Deliver brief, goal-oriented behavioral interventions aligned with geriatric best practices

Collaborate with nursing, social services, rehabilitation, and medical providers to coordinate care

Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary case discussions

Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the clinical documentation system

Follow ethical, regulatory, and confidentiality standards

Build professional relationships with facility staff and serve as a behavioral health resource

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted LPCC license

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team

Comfortable working within long-term care environments

Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality patient care

Experience with older adult populations preferred
