This role is part of a Functional Restoration Program for chronic pain patients in a highly collaborative environment, working alongside a wide variety of professionals and specialists. _**

    About the Job

    The Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor _ __ will provide direct psychological clinical services to injured workers through multiple modalities, including initial assessments, case management, psychoeducation classes, and both individual and group psychotherapy. A typical caseload will involve patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and issues related to physical pain. Experience with art therapy is a plus, as it is a component of the program._

    The position also involves partnering with the clinical team to assess current treatments, identify opportunities for improvement, and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences. Therapists will work closely with the pain management team to ensure patients receive high-quality clinical care. Familiarity with documentation within the Worker’s Comp system is preferred, as the majority of patients served are injured workers.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide individual therapy (e.g. CBT) to adult clients in an outpatient chronic pain clinic

    • Conduct weekly psychoeducational sessions for individuals attending the Functional Restoration Program (FRP) at the clinic daily

    • Provide brief individual therapy to individuals in the FRP and evaluate their clinical progress in the program

    • Assessment and treatment planning for active caseload

    • Provide clinical care informed by best practices in the field of pain psychology

    • Refer to other modalities within the clinic as needed

    • Document all client care in our EMR system (IMS)

    • Provide clinical care that complies with all the legal and ethical standards

    Qualifications :

    • One or more of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychologist (PsyD or PhD)

    • Art Therapy certification or experience is preferred

    • Experience in Workers’ Compensation Cases is highly preferred.

    • CPR/BLS certified

    • Work well in an interdisciplinary team as well as independently

    • Excellent communication skills with patients and staff

    • Ability to adapt to diverse patient needs and challenges

    • Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred
