Leading social services organization dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities seeks a Licensed Psychologist to provide clinical evaluations, treatment, and support while assisting in the leadership and supervision of psychological services across our programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral evaluations, and prepare detailed reports.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team.
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold all ethical and regulatory standards.
- Offer professional consultation to interdisciplinary staff and program teams supporting clients.
- Supervise psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and designated staff under the direction of the Director of Psychological Services.
- Assist with administrative and supervisory functions within the department, contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, including completion of a one-year internship.
- Active New York State License as a Psychologist in good standing.
- Proven ability to administer, score, and interpret a wide range of psychological tests.
- Experience providing evidence-based therapy to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
