Licensed Psychologist or LCSW – Youth Residential Program (Long Beach, CA)
PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to contract with a Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide on-site mental health services for a federally supported residential youth program located in Long Beach, California.
Our client operates a comprehensive residential program serving approximately 300 low-income youth , ages 16 through 24 , with a mission to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living.
This position provides direct, on-site mental health services to students and support staff within a structured residential environment.
This is a contract position , with full-time or part-time availability considered , for up to 16 hours per week.
Schedule: Tuesday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This role is on-site only ; telehealth or remote work is not available.
The schedule is open and flexible , with opportunities to adjust hours as needed to support student engagement and program needs.
Location: On-site, Long Beach, CA
The clinician will provide on-site mental health services to enrolled students and actively engage within the residential environment. This includes spending increased afternoon and evening hours in student living and activity areas such as dormitories, recreation areas, counseling spaces, and dining facilities , allowing for meaningful interaction with students in their natural environments.
The role also includes providing oversight, guidance, and training to staff who facilitate group counseling sessions, as well as collaborating with program leadership and staff to support student development, well-being, and safety. The clinician is expected to maintain appropriate clinical documentation and uphold professional standards at all times.
Candidates must be registered, licensed, or certified by the State of California as one of the following:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience providing mental health services to adolescents and young adults is required. Experience in one or more of the following settings is preferred:
Admission and/or attending privileges at local hospitals or specialty clinics are desired but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
