Title: DOB Licensed Site Safety Manager

Location: 2946 West 23rd St, Brooklyn (Carey Gardens)

NYCHA building project

Role and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all site safety operations and ensure compliance with NYC DOB Chapter 33, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions, with a focus on patching, repair, and finishing activities.
• Monitor contractor operations across multiple buildings to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with approved safety plans.
• Enforce fall protection, housekeeping, access control, and other safety measures throughout the project.
• Lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring all personnel understand site hazards and safe work practices.
• Investigate and document safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions, implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or other related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 7 years' experience in safety management of Major Capital Construction Projects, including Heavy Civil Construction.
• Valid DOB Site Safety Manager License
