At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. We are currently hiring Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSPs) for school-based opportunities in the Austin area.
This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about student well-being, assessment, and providing data-driven support to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.
What You’ll Do
As an LSSP, you will play a key role in supporting students through assessment, consultation, and intervention within a collaborative school environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
Interpret assessment data to support eligibility and service recommendations
Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide consultation, counseling, and behavioral support strategies for students
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
Assist in developing classroom intervention and behavior support plans
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and communicate findings with stakeholders
Conduct reevaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
What You’ll Need
Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field
Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
Experience administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
Strong knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, and special education regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
