We are seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to lead and support a variety of structural design and inspection projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a thorough understanding of Florida Building Code and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Design and analyze structural systems for residential and commercial buildings, additions, and renovations.
Prepare/review and seal structural plans, specifications, and calculation packages for permitting.
Perform field inspections and structural assessments for existing structures, including hurricane damage evaluations and threshold inspections.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and permitting agencies.
Ensure all designs comply with Florida Building Code, ASCE 7, and local municipality standards.
Support junior engineers and drafters with design reviews and mentoring.
Qualifications
B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (M.S. a plus).
Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
3–8 years of structural engineering experience (residential and/or light commercial).
Proficient in structural analysis software.
Excellent communication and technical report writing skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
