Licensed Student Therapist (School-Based)
Salt Lake City, UT
Full-Time or Part-Time
Make a Direct Impact Where Students Need It Most
What if you could provide therapy in a setting where it's immediately accessible and deeply needed?
LivWell Behavioral is expanding into the Salt Lake City area and hiring a licensed clinician to help bring high-quality mental health services directly into schools. This is an opportunity to work closely with students (ages 5–17) in a more connected, community-based model, while also helping build something new in the local market.
If you're looking for a role that combines meaningful clinical work, autonomy, and the chance to shape a growing program, this could be a strong fit.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents in school-based settings
- Manage your own caseload from intake through discharge
- Conduct clinical assessments and diagnoses to guide treatment planning (no formal psychological testing)
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on client progress
- Collaborate with caregivers, school staff, and internal team members
- Participate in the intake process, helping determine appropriate care
- Maintain timely documentation and track outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Independently licensed clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or CMHC)
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field
- Experience (or strong interest) in working with children, adolescents, and students
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat independently
- Familiarity with at least one evidence-based modality (CBT, Expressive Arts Therapy, etc.)
- Organized, collaborative, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy
Nice to Have:
- Experience in school-based settings or with youth populations
- Exposure to intake, behavioral assessments, and treatment planning
Why This Role Stands Out
- School-based model – provide care where students already are
- Founding clinician in SLC – help shape how services are delivered locally
- Strong demand from partnering school districts already investing in services
- High level of clinical ownership and autonomy
- Supportive leadership with room for growth and advancement
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $45,000 – $75,000 (based on experience and job status)
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life insurance
- 401(k) (no employer match)
- Paid holidays + 3 **** weeks PTO
- Performance-based raises and advancement opportunities
