Responsibilities include conducting psychological examinations and testing, as well as diagnosing, recommending treatment, and educational supports for child, teen, and young adult clients. You'll work with a wide range of clients, including those with learning differences, ADHD, Autism, Giftedness/2E, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, to help them (and their parents) chart a path forward. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are necessary since you'll be working with parents, teachers, and treatment providers to coordinate and collaborate on care. Responsibilities: Mind Matters Testing Psychologists are passionate about providing in-depth, comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. Responsibilities include: • Providing psychological, neuropsychological, and developmental assessments, including Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to youth ages 5+ • Ensuring that patients have proper resources by referring them to outside therapists, clinics, and other treatment facilities • Attending school meetings and providing follow-up parent consultations to support prior clients • Participating in twice-monthly in-house team meetings and case consultations • Full-time clinicians are expected to complete three comprehensive evaluations per month. Initially, each evaluation requires 40-50 hours of clinical time, but decreases as you learn our systems and approach • Applicants must be available to test in person (San Francisco) at least eight days per month on a regular schedule • Interviews/feedback/report writing can be completed remotely, on a flexible schedule • Optional opportunities for supervisory and other clinical/leadership roles as you grow with the company • Additional day-to-day tasks will be discussed during the interview process Qualifications: • Must have exceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills At least two (2) years of experience providing • Psychoeducational, developmental, and/or neuropsychological evaluations for children, teens, and/or adults with developmental, learning, attention, social-cognitive, and emotional issues Licensed/License eligible in the State of CA as a Licensed Psychologist (PSY) Doctoral degree • in Clinical, Counseling, School, or Educational Psychology or related field from an APA-accredited program Ideal applicants also have a strong interest and experience in one or more of the following: • Neuropsychology • Autism assessments • Giftedness/2E assessments • Developmental assessments for preschool-aged children • College/young adult assessments and/or Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) • Knowledge of current assessment measures and practices • Experience collaborating with elementary, middle, and/or high schools • Exceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills • Bilingual language skills are a plus Mind Matters clinicians experience the benefits of being in private practice, with the support and collegiality of a clinic. Mind Matters provides all testing materials, equipment, supplies, and report writing/administrative support, along with ongoing opportunities for training and consultation. If you are an early-career psychologist or newer to testing, we mentor you within a private practice setting. If you are an experienced Testing Psychologist, we provide you with a supportive and collegial private practice setting without the administrative burdens of solo practice.
