Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician Location: Rockford Animal Hospital, Rockford MI Pay: $20+/hour (based on experience)

Our doctors are backed by a well-staffed team of dedicated licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, front-desk receptionists, and an in-house grooming team.

Rockford Animal Hospital is growing, and we're looking to add Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) to our supportive, privately owned small-animal practice.

Responsibilities

Assist doctors with exams, treatments, and procedures.

Safely and compassionately restrain and handle patients during examinations and treatments.

Collect and process diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.

Prepare, clean, and maintain examination rooms and surgical and dental areas.

Monitor patients under anesthesia and during recovery, recognizing and responding to changes in patient status.

Perform dental cleanings and full mouth radiographs.

Obtain diagnostic radiographs using appropriate positioning.

Provide client education and support with compassion and professionalism.

Maintain accurate medical records and ensure appropriate documentation of treatments and procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment, including proper care and handling of medical equipment and instruments.

Qualifications

Valid Licensed Veterinary Technician license in the state of Michigan

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Strong typing and computer skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Passion for animal care and client service

Dependable and detail-oriented
