Job description
The candidate should be highly motivated and show exemplary leadership. Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Nurse (LPN) able to deliver various therapeutic services, providing optimal quality care and consistency to the individual and the course of their recovery.
** This is a part-time position with multiple shifts available, but graveyard mostly.
Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN)/ LPN duties and responsibilities:
Delivers various therapeutic services in all of the recovery programs at Domus Retreat. Responsible for the daily operations of client care. Observe client medication management. Initiates personal contact with newly admitted individuals, providing support and orientation to the program philosophy.
Monitor the client’s vitals.
Monitor new clients every 30 minutes for the first 72 hours.
Document daily the individuals progress and participation.
Conducts all client care professionally and therapeutically, placing the individual’s dignity and rights above personality differences.
Responsible for driving the Domus Retreat culture through core values and upholding Domus Retreat standards.
Develops and maintains relationships through effective and timely communication.
Takes the initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding issues with all Residents in a timely manner.
Communicates the individual’s progress through record keeping and verbal interaction with the staff.
Maintains a safe, orderly, and clean kitchen at all times. Demonstrates this by using proper food-handling techniques. Conforms to current and ethical laws of CADAC/NADAC.
Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) / LPN competencies:

Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License
Clean driving record (must provide DMV printout upon hire)
Five years or more in the health care field.
Valid LVN license in good standing
CPR and First Aid Certification
