JOB STATEMENT
Provides essential patient care while supporting clinic operations and collaborating with medical staff.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Patient preparation, vital sign measurement, and pre-screening.
- Specimen collection and routine lab tests.
- Vaccine administration, adverse event monitoring, and inventory management (including serving as vaccine coordinator).
- Patient education and phone support.
- Equipment sterilization and waste disposal.
- Assisting with audits and reports.
- Training other staff and maintaining inter-agency relationships.
- Administering medications under supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education : Practical or Vocational Nursing Degree
- Specialized Training/Certifications/Licenses : Texas LVN/LPN License (or compact state equivalent), and CPR Certification
- Experience : 1 year preferred
- Knowledge: Spanish is a plus
- Skills : Computer Literacy, Patient-Centered Orientation, Cooperation, and Confidentiality
- Abilities : Fluent in English (speak, read, write, comprehend), ability to stand/walk for extended periods, bend/stoop, lift 20 lbs. unassisted, physically assist patients, and have good vision
- Other : Ability to work occasional Saturdays, potential local travel between clinics, and must maintain CPR and required immunizations
