    Summary of Position:

    The Licensed Vocational Nurse will perform routine technical nursing duties and assist with other related duties involved in providing patient care at Clear Behavioral Health facilities. They serve as a liaison between clients and other medical professionals, addressing medication-related concerns, and ensuring that both staff and clients comply with medication rules and regulations. Licensed Vocational Nurse model appropriate behavior, uphold ethical standards, and follow proper documentation protocols to maintain accuracy and compliance.

    This position involves working in our detox residential facility, supporting clients as they begin and progress through their recovery journey.

    Responsibilities:

    • Interviews patients or relatives to obtain appropriate health history and/or immunization status.
    • Performs TB Testing and injections.
    • Maintains records and prepares oral reports.
    • Contributes to the attainment of the goals of the unit by using contacts with individuals and community relationships to contribute to better public understanding of health services.
    • Prepares, administers, and records immunizations and drugs as agency policies permit.
    • Takes vital signs and measurements (i.e., height and weight).
    • Assembles materials and equipment in preparation for clinic sessions and maintains adequate supplies.
    • Cleans and maintains clinic equipment and disposes of used supplies correctly.
    • Administers injections according to agency policy.
    • Ensures client's medications are being taken in a timely fashion as ordered by the doctor.
    • Supervise clients' self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with physician orders.
    • Audit and monitor client charts and the Medication Administration Record (MAR) in our EMR system.
    • Conduct regular medication counts to verify accuracy and staff adherence to protocols.
    • Communicate medication changes with physicians and pharmacies as needed.
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks (e.g., cleaning, sanitizing, laundry) in detox houses to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
    • Observe and monitor client behavior, intervening based on individual treatment plans, schedules, and facility needs.
    • Provide 1:1 supervision for at-risk clients (e.g., those with suicidal ideation or Against Treatment Advice (ATA) risks) as directed by the supervisor.
    • Support ATA prevention through 1:1 counseling, notifying the assigned counselor, and immediately reporting to a supervisor when clients express intent to leave.
    • Maintain the staff shift log, including check-in/check-out times and a summary of shift events.
    • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Program Director or designated supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Licensed to practice as a vocational nurse in the state.(Required)
    • 2 years' minimum experience with substance abuse population, mental health or dual diagnosis population.(preferred)
    • Familiarity and understanding with 12 step facilitation.
    • Current CPR/First Aid certification
    • Clean Background check

    Schedule:

    Part-time: Sunday and Monday overnight(11pm-730am).
