Lichtenfelt's is hiring for an engaging, seasonal position that will assist several of our core departments at the nursery - namely our water/plant care and retail sales departments. This position would be part time to full time as required and would run seasonally for our peak seasons of September-November 2024 and March-May or June of 2025. Applicants will be considered that are interested in continued, but seasonal, employment with the nursery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Water by watering plant material and monitoring for pest and disease, following existing policies and procedures
• Assist the Head of Customer Experience by engaging with customers throughout the day, directing them to the correct product and advising them in various gardening disciplines
• Assist the Head of Product(s) by unloading plant deliveries and stocking plant material when necessary

Requirements:

• Alignment with our core values
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors, rain or shine, with a positive attitude
• Willingness and ability to lift at least 25 lbs
• Willingness to work most Saturdays (8-4:30pm) and some Sundays (1-2 hour watering shift, every few weeks)
• Previous experience in the green industry is not necessary, though may be beneficial
