Job Title: Lien Negotiation Team Supervisor – Personal Injury Law Firm (In-Office)
Location: In-Office Position (Not Remote or Hybrid)
Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical Lien Negotiation Team Supervisor to join our personal injury law firm. This is a fully in-office leadership position responsible for overseeing lien resolution operations while actively negotiating medical liens on a high-volume caseload.
The ideal candidate has strong personal injury lien negotiation experience and prior experience supervising or mentoring lien negotiators, ensuring timely reductions, accurate payoff tracking, and efficient settlement processing.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support the medical lien negotiation team
Monitor workflow and ensure timely resolution of liens across a high-volume caseload
Negotiate reductions with medical providers, hospitals, health insurance carriers, and lienholders
Review settlement files to identify applicable liens and reimbursement claims
Assist with complex lien negotiations, including escalated or high-balance matters
Ensure accurate tracking of lien balances, payoff demands, and reductions
Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and accounting during settlement processing
Train new team members on lien procedures and best practices
Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with firm processes and deadlines
Provide reporting and status updates to management regarding lien resolution progress
Qualifications
Prior experience as a medical lien negotiator in a personal injury law firm (preferred)
Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Strong understanding of provider liens, hospital liens, and health insurance reimbursement claims
Experience managing lien resolution on a high-volume caseload
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Ability to prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with case management systems preferred
Compensation & Schedule
Pay range: $32 – $40 per hour (DOE)
