** What you will do in this role** : When you are a patient, games and entertainment can be the highlight of your day. As an Activity / Activities Director you will design a curriculum to keep our short-term residents interested & engaged in their recovery and rehab. For our long-term residents, you will create life enrichment events, often focused on cognitive and memory retention. This could involve leading exercise groups, managing a team of Aides, and above all, making this a stimulating environment for all.

Qualifications

Activity / Activities Director: Officially we title this job an Activities Director, but in other centers it may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator.

** What we need from you** :

• Certified Activity Director (the 36-hour certification course for the state of IL) is nice but not required for this role
• Prior experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred
• Extensive involvement with leading a dynamic team, creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long-term care patients that address their physical, cognitive and social deficits
• Electronic medical records experience (Point Click Care)
