The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible to develop and integrate resident programming that focuses on the 7 dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental and cultural.
Responsibilities:
- Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for the residents
- Creatively addresses the need to provide one-on-one activities to residents that may be confined to their room
- Actively motivates residents to participate in activities by providing an accurate calendar of events that engages them with other residents in the community with similar interests
- Lead daily group and 1 on 1 activities including but not limited to games, exercises, crafts, socials, outings, and devotionals
- Anticipate the needs of others to ensure their seamless and positive experience
- Supports and proactively participates in the community's census building initiatives
- Must have the ability to organize and implement events and programming to meet the needs of all residents
- Assist with transportation of resident during activities
- Maintain activity supplies
- Compile and maintain accurate reporting as required/requested
- Complete monthly calendars and activity reports as required
- Present a professional image and exhibit a manner that is cordial and respectful
- Use integrity, good judgement, and critical thinking skills in making decisions
- Attend/complete required in-services and other mandatory trainings and meetings
- Report to work on-time and ready for the workday
Requirements:
- Activities Certification desired, High School Diploma or GED, associate degree in a related field is acceptable
- 1-3 years of experience in Assisted Living and Personal Care Home preferred
- Valid Driver's License in the current state & satisfactory driving record
