Position Summary: Applies evidence-based methods and theories to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders for individuals and families. Responsible for assessing clients to determine goals and priorities for counseling; provides age-specific, appropriate treatment for clients. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, other clinical disciplines; and schools in making decisions and coordinating each client's care.

Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides clinical assessments, treatment plans, and therapy for individuals and families with mental health disorders, as well as various behavioral and emotional disturbances. Provides individual, group and familytherapeutic services. Provides crisis response and intervention counseling as necessary. Maintains liaison with area resources and coordinates social services for discharge planning. Recognizes the role of client in treatment planning.Participates in general agency meetings, treatment team, and clinical supervision meetings.Plans, manages, and provides case management from admission through discharge of client.

Qualifications and Skills

The agency is looking for individuals willing to work at a growing private practice; and also have Trauma- Focus counseling experience.

Qualifications - Education/Experience:

MUST BE LICENSED or LICENSED ELIGIBLE (LISW, LPC, LPC-A, etc.).

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from an accredited institution. Computer skills required; must be able to document in electronic medical records. Exercises knowledgeable, independent clinical judgment on routine and non-routine matters.
