    LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual for the Five Points of Life Foundation Manager position in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for overseeing program development, fundraising and sponsor cultivation, events, budgets and public relations as they related to the Foundation. The Foundation Manager is also responsible for overseeing all administration of the Five Points of Life Foundation, including implementing new awareness programs, facilitating program growth and leading the Foundation team to fulfill its goals and mission.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Coordinate with the CEO and Director of Communications and Outreach about the direction and strategic goals of the Foundation

    • Develop and implement Foundation goals and programs to further the mission of the organization and ensure consistent and timely progress to the established goals

    • Prepare a budget, maintaining appropriate reporting and accounting mechanisms

    • Ensure the organization operates within the established budget and work with LifeSouth’s accounting department to ensure appropriate recordkeeping and accounting

    • Oversee the planning and implementation of Five Points of Life events, including the annual Five Points of Life Race Weekend, Kids Marathons and annual fundraising events

    • Serve as Race Director for the Five Points of Life Race Weekend

    • Solicit organizational and individual donation interest for Foundation events and programs

    • Oversee development and distribution of Five Points of Life in the Classroom and other education programs

    • Implement and direct funds and resource development

    • Develop and implement training for LifeSouth operations staff in the use of the Foundation’s educational curriculum and support operations as necessary for successful integration of Foundation initiatives

    • Oversee media communications, including content and development of relationships

    • Oversee and maintain Foundation website content

    • Supervise the development and maintenance of the donor database

    • Oversee and direct grant writing

    • Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers, community members, community agencies, blood banks and donation organizations to maintain a high level of support and awareness for the Foundation events and LifeSouth

    • Manage the creation and distribution of the e-newsletter

    • This position requires driving, travel and flexible hours

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Previous community relations, event planning, public speaking, public relations and/or media relations experience

    • Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements

    • Ability to interact professionally with the media and other members of the public

    • Advanced communication skills, both oral and written

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

    • Creative and confident while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Strong fundraising experience

    This is a full-time position. Starting salary range is $47,476 - $52,223 annually. Background check and drug test required. Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer/DFWP/Tobacco Free.
