LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a District Director in Madison, AL. This position is responsible for supervising all issues related to the operation of regions and mobile collection units within the district. The selected candidate will be expected to develop and implement new and innovative ideas for increasing donor acquisition and retention as well as increasing the district team cohesiveness.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee branch operations in regions
Ensure external and internal inspections are completed properly
Assess and monitor the financial operation of the district
Directly oversee regional managers and personnel
Act as the community and media spokesperson for LifeSouth
Assist district with Human Resources issues in conjunction with corporate Human Resources department
Assist with regulatory oversight of branches in the district in conjunction with corporate Quality Assurance department
Ensure training compliance in the district in conjunction with corporate Training department
Maintain positive relationships with hospitals within the district as well as any other external or internal customers
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Previous management experience
Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
Knowledge of modern principles and practices of administration and organization, including general budgeting, accounting, personnel techniques and management principles and practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to prepare concise and informative reports
Ability to learn and effectively utilize office, management and blood banking software
The ideal candidate will possess:
Master of Business Administration degree
Five or more years management experience
Medical Technologist license (ASCP)
Blood banking or FDA regulatory experience
