Part Time Records Specialist
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Part Time Records Specialist in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for filing, organizing and maintaining records as well as providing high level administrative support. This position is also responsible for auditing scanned images and verifying that documents are legible.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform Standard Donor Record (SDR) review and ensure a timely review
Audit scanned images, verifying that documents are legible and that documents are appropriately indexed
Organize paper files in preparation for electronic storage; including auditing paper records for completeness prior to scanning
Make copies, laminate, update documents, file and perform other similar administrative duties
Perform all job functions and maintain permanent records in accordance with blood center’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Operate document scanner and computer software
Handle and manage confidential information for donors
Shred physical documents
Must have consistent and reliable transportation
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
Must be able to work at least four morning shifts per week and two weekend shifts per month
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers and the public
Ability to follow moderately complex oral and written instructions
Ability to organize and manage time effectively
Basic computer skills
