    LifeSpice Ingredients, a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, international food company has an opening for a Supply Chain Analyst in our Chicago River North location. The LifeSpice office is steps away from the CTA Brown/Purple line and easily accessible from all parts of Chicagoland – our location will take the stress out of your morning commute.

    The Supply Chain Analyst is a member of the LifeSpice Supply Chain/Operations team. This team holds the key responsibility of driving cost savings across raw ingredients for seasoning manufacturing. The Supply Chain Analyst will spend the majority of their time working with suppliers, our co-manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to realize improvements and service excellence. This individual will be accountable for monitoring the usage and procurement of raw materials for new and existing projects. This position reports to our Supply Chain Manager.

    No relocation assistance will be provided

    Your Role & Responsibilities:

    • Communicate with suppliers and co-manufacturers to ensure accurate delivery dates on raw materials for open orders.

    • Maintain pricing databases, dashboards, and reports to provide relevant insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

    • Oversee raw material inventory at distribution center such as lot numbers, expiration dates, SOs and POs. Communicate with co-manufacturers and suppliers to move materials to and from our distribution center.

    • Ensure the pricing of raw materials is up to date and at the best value based on formulas forecasts with external stakeholder interest.

    • Procure raw materials for new and existing R&D projects while prioritizing cost savings and customer experience.

    • Review formulas and label changes to communicate any changes to our co-manufacturers.

    • Source new raw ingredients from existing and new suppliers.

    • Other duties as required.

    What We Are Looking for in a Candidate:

    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, client services, and sales.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, or another related field.

    • 2+ years of experience in purchasing/procurement.

    • Ability to prioritize workload and drive projects to completion.

    • Ability to pull meaningful insights from complex data sets.

    • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.

    • Experience in the food and/or ingredients industry is a huge plus.

    • Experience using ERP and Product Management systems required. Microsoft Dynamics and/or Product Vision preferred.

    • Above average experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
