    ROLE OVERVIEW

    The Administrative Assistant can involve a variety of tasks related to data entry, collecting/balancing payments, answering phones, and preparing paperwork. The exemplary applicant will not only possess excellent information gathering and communication skills, but will also have proven efficiency in operating a multi-line phone system and providing clerical support carefully and diligently in a style that is both friendly and sociable, as well as empathetic and patient.

    PAY FOR THIS POSITION STARTS AT $13.00, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    · Managing the demands of answering and screening a high volume of incoming calls, greeting callers, talking messages, providing information, and transferring calls. · Accurately entering patient data in practice management system · Optimizing patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and office utilization by scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner · Providing administrative support to our Psychiatric Scheduler · Verify patient’s identification and insurance · Prepare new client packets weekly · Maintain and record all supplies within the office · Sort daily mail and disseminate appropriately · Process any outgoing mail · Close and lock reception area at night

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    · High school diploma · 2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant capacity · Proficiency with electronic medical records · Experience with AdvancedMD EHR software is preferred · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team · Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
