    Who We Are

Lifeblue is a digital agency in Plano, TX focused on working with organizations and institutions that impact the world in a positive way. We're an iterative, experimental collective of design thinkers and doers that will challenge everything you think you know about digital design agencies. We are a small, tight-knit group of dreamers and schemers. We are entrepreneurs that embrace working outside of our comfort zone, and love to take on the big “what ifs” of the Web. With clients like Dallas Morning News, Heifer International, Perot Museum of Nature and Science and many others, there is no shortage of places where your experience and contributions will make a difference. We are passionate about learning and making a difference in our clients' businesses through creating sound strategies and amazing user experiences.

Working here means working with purpose-driven innovators, including a few that might even be smarter than you. You'll be collaborating with experts in a diverse range of backgrounds, including economics, game design, teaching, computer science, writing, fine art, environmental graphic design, mathematics, history, music and public speaking.

    Who You Are

Whether you've spent your life in design, development, or UX/UI, you live for solving problems. Your passion lies in not only serving clients, but in tackling challenges head-on  to dream up in-depth and robust solutions that will take into account strategy, technology, design aesthetics and usability. You know the intricacies, the details, and all of the focused work that go into creating something great, and always are working towards the simplest experience for both the user and client team. You'll ultimately be completing some of the greatest work of your career day in and day out, always striving to accomplish the seemingly impossible — the f%$*ing amazing!

Put more succinctly, you are a T-shaped design thinker who is a geek of technology and the web, and want to be around others cut from the same cloth.

    What You'll Be Doing

You are not just building a website, you are helping shape the future of our client's business. Because your team is counting on you, you'll live and breathe the client and their business, so that you can work with your fellow team members to translate the client's needs and create thought-out solutions. You'll own those solutions starting with a strategic vision and ending with a foundation of what each of our projects will become, setting a team up for success.

We don't believe there is one specific way of doing things, but have opinions around the philosophy of wireframes, web content, and digital strategy (just ask us.) We only know that a delivered solution takes on many forms, each of a bespoke nature, centered carefully around a client's unique set of brand personalities, budget, and KPIs. You will be aware of all these balls in the air and formulate a path to success.

You know how to create meaningful client experiences by being honest and responsive to our clients' needs, delivering a premium value for the project budget, and helping them achieve their business objectives above all else.

You keep your eyes on the pulse of the latest developments in emerging technology and business. You naturally pay attention to and draw inspiration from notable entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders. You are able to constantly change course based on the current reality of the project and client's needs.

Specific responsibilities are not limited to, but may include:

    • Set the foundation for a strong, lasting client relationship by getting to the heart of what matters most to their business
    • Generate project requirements and business goals by leading discovery sessions with stakeholders, reviewing the competitive landscape, and holding strategic brainstorming workshops with the project team
    • Lead user research and documentation
    • Conduct gap analyses and primary and secondary research on each client's industry, their competitive set, possible revenue strategies, and opportunities for market distinction (or differentiation, if possible)
    • Build information architecture (IA) utilizing competitive audits, keyword planning, card sorting, and user navigation testing (e.g., site maps, screen trees, user flows, decision and content tables)

    • Design and conduct usability tests to validate information architecture and interaction design

    • Advise best practices for online strategy and execution

    • Make decisions that balance the needs of the client with internal goals and teams to operate profitably, sharing responsibility for budget and quality of projects with the rest of the team.
    • Some travel may be required, though most of our current clients are within the Dallas metropolitan area

    What You'll Need to Succeed
