The Lifeguard in Franklin, WI, US is responsible for minimizing and eliminating any potential dangers around aquatic areas. The Lifeguard must focus on creating a safe and secure environment at all times by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Must be able to quickly respond to emergencies, such as rescue swimmers in danger or provide assistance to individuals in distress. MUST BE LIFEGUARD CERTIFIED! Responsibilities: • Monitor patrons of the facility and take appropriate measures to protect their safety in cases of emergency. • Attend training and mandatory meetings. • Submit timely reports and record attendance information. • Possess the energy and the ability to work without supervision. • Demonstrate excellent customer service at all times. • Possess the ability to pass pre-employment skills assessment. • Have prior aquatics experience (preferred). • Keep a close watch on visitors in the facility and swiftly act in cases of emergencies to secure their safety. • Keep the facility in a neat condition by carrying out necessary cleaning. • Participate in relevant trainings and meetings as scheduled. • Render first-aid care and other necessary assistance before the arrival of emergency services. • Submit reports and other records when due. • Demonstrate self-motivated, energetic behavior and the capability to work autonomously. Qualifications: SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: • 16 years of age or older. • Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm. • Ability to positively interact with the general public. • American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification. • American Red Cross First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certification. • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification preferred. Compensation: $10 - $20 hourly
