Summary: As a Lifeguard at Goldfish Swim School, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all swimmers by actively monitoring lessons and maintaining a safe aquatic environment. You will be responsible for supervising swim lessons, enforcing safety rules, responding to emergencies, and supporting the swim instructors.

This role is ideal for individuals who are alert, responsible, and enjoy working with children in a fun, team-oriented environment. Goldfish Swim School - Malvern provides in-house lifeguard training and certification for qualified candidates from Ellis and Associates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains attentive position in the pool area at all times by walking and/or sitting while actively scanning the pool and pool area.

Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents or casualties, makes rescues and administers first aid/CPR when necessary.

Provides assistance to students and teachers as needed.

Inspects pool area and lobby looking for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage problems and reports problems to management as appropriate.

Participates in required monthly in-services and staff trainings.

Constantly monitor pool activity to ensure the safety of all swimmers.

Respond quickly and effectively to all water-related emergencies and dry side first aid.

Assist with class transitions, student check-in, and deck organization.

Support instructors and staff with day-to-day swim school operations.

Certificates and Licenses: Paid Training Provided for Lifeguard, CPR/AED, Supplemental Oxygen Support and First Aid certifications.

Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
