Swim&Gym Summer Camp is seeking a reliable, attentive Lifeguard to oversee swim lessons and supervise open swim for campers throughout the summer season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children in a fun, active environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Location: 1001 Deming Way, Madison, WI 53717 (indoor pool)

Schedule:

Mondays & Wednesdays: 11:15 AM – 3:00 PM

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 11:15 AM – 1:15 PM

Season runs June 10 – August 21

Additional optional hours may be available on Fridays to assist with field trips

Key Responsibilities:

Provide active lifeguard supervision during swim lessons and open swim

Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers in and around the pool

Enforce pool rules and respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies

Support swim instructors as needed during lessons

Maintain a clean and organized pool deck area

Communicate clearly with camp staff and leadership

Qualifications:

Current Lifeguard Certification (required)

CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (required)

Strong attention to detail and situational awareness

Positive, professional attitude with the ability to engage with children ages 5–12

Reliable and punctual

Preferred:

Previous experience lifeguarding

Experience working with children in group settings
