Lifestyle & Community Engagement Coordinator
Position Summary
The Lifestyle & Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for creating a vibrant, welcoming, and socially active environment for residents within our 55+ multifamily community. This role focuses on planning and hosting daily, weekly, and monthly resident events that encourage engagement, wellness, socialization, and resident retention.
In addition to resident programming, this position supports occupancy and community outreach efforts through light marketing, social media participation, relationship-building with local businesses and service providers, and assisting with prospect follow-up and resident communication.
The ideal candidate is energetic, outgoing, organized, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences for older adults while helping support the overall success of the property.
Essential Responsibilities
Resident Lifestyle & Event Programming
- Plan, coordinate, and host daily, weekly, and monthly resident events, activities, workshops, celebrations, and wellness programs.
- Responsible for managing the community events and lifestyle programming budget, including planning, purchasing, and tracking expenses within approved guidelines.
- Create engaging lifestyle programming that promotes resident satisfaction, social connection, and community involvement.
- Develop and maintain a monthly activities calendar and resident newsletter.
- Encourage resident participation through personal outreach, flyers, announcements, and relationship-building.
- Build programs based on resident interests and feedback, including clubs, wellness activities, educational seminars, game nights, coffee socials, walking groups, and holiday events.
- Coordinate with local vendors, volunteers, and community organizations to enhance resident programming and services.
- Maintain event sign-in sheets, event photos, and activity records for management review.
- Ensure all common areas and event spaces remain clean, organized, and welcoming before and after events.
Marketing & Community Outreach
- Assist with light marketing efforts to support occupancy and leasing goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, senior organizations, healthcare providers, churches, and referral partners to generate community awareness and traffic.
- Support outreach marketing initiatives, resident referral programs, and community partnerships.
- Assist with social media content by capturing photos/videos of community events and resident activities.
- Help ensure marketing materials, event flyers, and community boards remain current and visually appealing.
- Participate in local networking events, vendor fairs, and outreach opportunities representing the community.
Resident Relations & Administrative Support
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and prospects.
- Assist residents with questions, concerns, and general community information.
- Input resident work orders into property management software for maintenance follow-up.
- Follow up with residents and prospects as directed by management to support resident satisfaction and leasing conversion.
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with office administrative support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, event documentation, and communication logs.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Previous experience in resident services, hospitality, event planning, senior living, multifamily housing, customer service, or community engagement preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to connect with residents and build relationships.
- Organized and able to manage multiple events and responsibilities simultaneously.
- Basic marketing and social media knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours occasionally for resident events or community functions.
- Must be professional, service-oriented, self-motivated, and team-focused.

Work Environment
This position works in both office and community settings and requires frequent interaction with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members. Some evening or weekend event participation may occasionally be required.
