    Lift Truck Operator / Warehouse Worker

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Lift Truck Operator / Warehouse Worker to join a fast-paced distribution environment. This position is responsible for safely receiving, storing, picking, and shipping food products while operating a variety of material handling equipment.

    The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a cold storage environment, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, using RF scanners, and meeting daily productivity and safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Safely load and unload products using forklifts and other material handling equipment
    • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, stand-up reach/straddle trucks, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and walk-behind equipment
    • Move products to designated storage locations
    • Stack and store products safely and efficiently
    • Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment
    • Inspect products and freight for accuracy, damage, or potential infestation
    • Label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack products as needed
    • Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and product movement
    • Assist with physical inventory counts
    • Maintain accurate product and inventory records
    • Charge or change forklift batteries as needed
    • Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns immediately
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
    • Follow OSHA standards, company safety procedures, and food-handling requirements
    • Meet established productivity and quality standards
    • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent warehouse experience may be considered
    • Previous warehouse, distribution, or forklift experience preferred
    • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Dependable attendance and punctuality
    • Ability to meet production and performance standards
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
    • Willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
