The core function of this position is to gain experience in the graphic design field by designing visuals and graphics for use on media network sites, social media pages and our ecommerce store, Patriot Depot. This role requires someone who is a self-starter and has a strong understanding of design principles while bringing knowledge of Adobe products to the table. This is a 12-week internship opportunity with a pay of $12/hour. We are accepting both part-time and full-time candidates for our fall 2020 internships.

Responsibilities:

• Promote the network's branding and marketing initiatives, including social media graphics, web design and artwork for career fairs and conferences
• Drive development of new brand and visual identity; promote best practices for brand consistency across all organizational products
• Work with a variety of teams to service growing design needs for the organization as a whole
• Demonstrate flexibility and strong time management skills through workload prioritization
• Other skills to be developed during the internship may include social media marketing, marketing and other needs of the business as they arise

Qualifications:

• Must be extremely comfortable and knowledgeable with Adobe Illustrator to apply

• Classes in graphic design, marketing or basic business

• Attentive to creative detail

• Good organizational and file maintenance skills

• Strong communication skills

• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop)

• Strong illustration skills a plus

• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and conceptual design a plus

• Team player with excellent interpersonal/ collaboration skills

• If pursuing a Bachelor's degree:

• Junior or Senior standing

• 3.0 GPA or higher
