    Job Title: Software Development Co-Op

    Department: Engineering

    Reports to: Senior Software Development Manager

    Workforce Type: Temporary non-exempt, on-site

    Job Summary:

    The Software Development Co-Op must have a desired interest in manufacturing and augmented reality and be comfortable developing software solutions in a Visual Studio .NET environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Create unique augmented reality experiences using LightGuide applied to a wide variety of real-world applications.
    • Write, maintain, and troubleshoot custom software applications that expand the capabilities of the LightGuide application.
    • Set up, configure, and test equipment including, but not limited to, PC’s, PLC’s, projectors, smart torque tools, motorized spotlights, and other hardware.
    • Work closely with all personnel including LightGuide employees, customers, and suppliers in a constructive and team-based manner.
    • Prepare documentation and drawings for customers as required.
    • Package and ship Light Guide Systems hardware for installation projects.
    • Perform on-site system installation and service at customer locations.
    • Assist with miscellaneous office duties as required.
    • Continuously improve and optimize all processes related to the above work.

    Education and Experience:

    • 1+ years’ experience in software development (Desktop Software/.NET/Windows Forms) preferred
    • 2+ years’ experience in any professional or service job preferred
    • 1+ years’ experience in customer-facing roles preferred
    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in one of the following disciplines:
      • Computer Science
      • Computer Engineering
      • Electrical Engineering
      • Industrial Engineering
      • Mechanical Engineering
