Midland Health is seeking an experienced RN for the 68 Nurse Unit. Call Center Nurse. Takes calls for the area. Right now it's a lot of questions on COVID and assists with schedule for COVID testing. 68Nurse is a free 24-hour call service providing medical advice given by a registered nurse. The nurses give free medical advice, but they also help with medication questions, home care advice, and local resources offered for various healthcare conditions and COVID scheduling. 7:00a - 7:00p Every other weekend & rotating holidays requiredPosition Summary Complete a comprehensive assessment. This includes the initial and ongoing, extensive collection, analysis and interpretation of data. Synthesize the data collected during the comprehensive assessment to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and to formulate goals, teaching plans and outcomes. Implement the plan of care. The RN may begin, deliver, assign or delegate certain interventions within the plan of care for patients within legal, ethical, and regulatory parameters and in consideration of health restoration, disease prevention, wellness, and promotion of healthy lifestyles. Evaluate and report patient outcomes and responses to therapeutic interventions in comparison to benchmarks from evidence-based practice and research findings, and plans any follow-up care and referrals to appropriate resources that may be needed. Help schedule appointments for COVID testing Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Associate's degree (ADN) or diploma in nursing is required. Current BLS required (Issued by American Heart Association) One year experience in area of position applying for required. Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred but not required. Early Acute Stroke recognition and treatment. Hospital provides housing and bill rate is adjusted accordingly. No exceptions will be made, travelers must take our housing. ALL housing arrangements must be made through HR and are dependent on availability.
