Job Description
The Lighting Designer supports Central Christian Church's mission and vision by ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of lighting and visuals across all campuses. Reporting to the Production Director, this role operates, maintains, and continuously improves lighting systems in multiple environments.
In addition to hands-on technical and creative responsibilities, the Lighting Designer serves as a Project Manager for the Systems & Design Team—overseeing system upgrades, installations, and cross-campus initiatives to ensure excellence in execution and alignment with church-wide goals.
Essential Job Functions
Lighting system design, maintenance, and optimization across all campuses
Responsible for lighting and visual programming for weekend services and events
LED wall and processor maintenance
Set design
Project design, management, and implementation of projects assigned
Provides support to Production Managers and Weekend Producers in diagnosing problems and upgrading systems
Supports all-team projects and initiatives
Production support/coverage as needed/available
Be available to provide support, volunteer training, and technical coaching at your assigned campus for weekend services.
Support for all-church events

Experience & Working Conditions
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
Experience working in ministry is preferred but not required
Experience working in a live production environment
Experience rigging equipment
Experience in software used by team, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office products, Monday.com, GroupMe
Advanced working knowledge in key AVL production systems, including but not limited to – ProPresenter, Resolume, Ross Video products, Bitfocus Companion, Blackmagic products
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Standing for extended periods
