Overview

We're an early stage venture backed consumer/games startup, founded by industry repeats (prev. founded sendit, 250M+ users).

We're looking for a skilled full-stack engineer (backend focused) to help us build out our platform. You'll be working directly with the CEO (technical), and be taking ownership of the most critical components of our app and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using Node.js and TypeScript.
2. Use TypeGraphQL/Apollo to create schemas, write resolvers, define types etc.
3. Collaborate with front-end developers and product team to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience.
4. Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
5. Develop and execute unit, integration, and functional tests.
6. Resolve systematic and critical issues that affect product delivery and quality.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a Backend Developer.
2. Strong proficiency with Node.JS, TypeScript and working knowledge of GraphQL/Apollo
3. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
4. Deep understanding of how to interact with APIs, databases, and external services.
5. Experience in developing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
