POSITION SUMMARY

Tri-County Sports Complex is looking for the ideal candidate for this position, someone who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Custodian position will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of the entire facility, including offices, restrooms, hardcourts, turf fields, and public areas (indoors and outdoors). Work hours vary, must be able to work weekends during our busy season (November through June).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Performs general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed

Cleans and maintains all flooring surfaces, using floor care equipment

Cleans and maintain all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restock supplies, etc.) Special attention to restrooms for all events

Cleans all guest seating and lobby area

Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management

Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests, provide answers and directions as needed

Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders

Remove garbage and recycling daily

Basic facility maintenance and repairs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Janitorial / Facility Maintenance experience preferred

High School Diploma/GED required

Experience using floor care machines preferred

Willingness to work a variety of shifts

Ability to work well under minimal supervision

Strong attention to detail

Capacity to take direction

Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary

Must be available to work a flexible schedule; a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend

Ability to navigate around the facility for long periods of time

Facility has intermittent noise and varying temperatures
