    Lilac Center is looking for a team player to join our growing and busy medical office! We are passionate about serving those who suffer from mental health disorders and we need your skills to assist our clinical staff with running an efficient office with excellent customer service. The preferred candidate must have experience with scheduling appointments, entering patient demographics, verifying insurance and collecting of payments. You must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, personable, comfortable with multi-tasking and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. We are an electronic medical records (EMR)-based practice where computer skills are necessary. Understanding medical terminology is essential. Responsibilities: • Be a point of contact to our clients to help them quickly find solutions • Provide concierge level customer service to vendors and clients to maintain high satisfaction ratings • Be the main assistant to our clinical staff • Answer phones, route calls, schedule appointments and respond to inquiries • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information • Collect co-payments and basic problem solving of client accounts • Keep up with all systems pertaining to business operations including data and back office support to keep a productive office running smoothly • Write letters and process paperwork requests Qualifications: Maintain confidentiality when assisting to problem-solve for clients and the team Technologically savvy; able to learn new programs quickly and troubleshoot common issues Enjoys talking with customers and can communicate through verbal and written channels High school diploma or GED required, some college experience preferred Time management is important; complete changing tasks on a day to day basis with little supervision • 2 years experience as a medical office receptionist with patient scheduling, and insurance verification, prescription preauthorizations • Ability to multi-task: answer phone, check patient in, complete paperwork • High level or organization and attention to detail • Quality focused • Have compassion and respect for our patients Compensation: $13 - $16 hourly
