    We have an exciting opening for an Infant and Preschool Floater Teacher at the Lily of the Valley Early Education and Preschool, Livermore, CA.

    North Canyons Pkwy, Livermore situated in an extremely picturesque and beautiful neighborhood in Livermore, California. It boasts of a pristine and idyllic campus, nestled in between the tranquil and serene Tri-valley. Not to mention, the ease and convenience of accessibility (to freeways I-580) and amazing mobility it possesses.

    Join our brand new premium private preschool and team of educators. This person is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, supporting our mission to enhance learning and development for each child.

    We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
    • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
    • Prepare lesson plans for the children on a daily basis
    • Comfort arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them
    • Prepare games and outdoor activities that the children can engage in
    • Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
    • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
    • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
    • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
    • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
    • Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
    • Monitor the children’s progress and development
    • Plan, prepare, & execute daily circle time activities
    • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and craft, music, storytelling, and field trips
    • Prepare reports on the children’s development
    • Read books to the children
    • Have a friendly and confident demeanor and to work patiently with students, parents, and co-workers

    QUALIFICATIONS

    SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

    • Completed a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must have at least 12 ECE units, must be at least 18 years of age, live scan fingerprint clearance, criminal record and TB clearance, have at least 1 year experience working in a licensed preschool.
    • Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency.
    • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
    • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
    • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
    • Experience teaching in a preschool setting (at least 1 Year experience working in a licensed preschool )

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

    • CPR Certification (Preferred)
    • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
    • Driver's License (Preferred)
