Summary The Limelight Hotels Marketing Manager manages & performs a wide range of marketing activities and functions related to the daily operations & planning of advertising with a focus on both digital and creative services. They also work directly with the hotels to project manage, execute and deliver all necessary requests. They initiate, coordinate, execute, support both digital and printed projects. The job requires strong written and verbal communication and organization skills, as well as the ability to multi-task. Financial acumen is recommended as this person will manage payment of regular invoices, budgeting, etc. for the department. Essential Job Functions • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Coordinator on various ongoing projects and tasks pertaining to rooms, F&B, & Retail revenue generation for the Limelight Aspen and Limelight Snowmass. • Manage department budgets while balancing against in-house ledger. • Attend on-property meetings regularly – trainings, managers meetings, etc. • Manage the digital advertising of the three hotels, from asset production & content planning to monitoring performance. • Manage & execute the social media planning, posting and engagement with the support of the department. • Manage the SEO and coordinate the development needs of the hotel website. • Manage ancillary websites / blog as needed including HOA / club sites. • Review website testing options, test results and coordinate needed implementation on the site. • Update website content, including seasonal switch overs, updating all specials on the site, photos, and outlet information as needed using Sitecore CMS tool. • Set up and execute photo shoots. • Liaise with operational management and sales teams on property to ensure marketing has full awareness of on-property happenings • Seek out new and interesting promotion angles for each property • Assist with hosting as needed • Manage local ads in places like the Aspen Times, Aspen Daily News, Aspen Magazine, etc. • Work with Digital Marketing Manager to write / monitor guest email communications including pre- and post-stay and contribute to bi-weekly newsletters. • Collaborate with graphic designer on design, production and management of marketing materials; coordinate local media ad trafficking. • Managing on property communications and needs & deliverables • Work with on-property management on guest relations touches, gifting, amenities, etc. • Other duties as assigned.
The budgeted salary range for this position starts at $65,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Powerpoint, Excel required • Budget Management experience required • Proofing and copywriting experience required • 3+ years of experience in the field of marketing preferred • Proficiency in Adobe CS5: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred • Content Management System experience preferred • eCRM experience preferred • Ski Industry and Hospitality experience preferred
Additional Information
SUPERVISION GIVEN AND RECEIVED GIVEN: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. RECEIVED: Works under general supervision of Director of Marketing. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements. No adverse or hazardous conditions. Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
