    HOW WILL YOUR ROLE IMPACT FIRST COMMAND?

    As the Data Privacy Analyst, your role supports the Data Privacy Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Data Privacy Program along with the assessment of business policies, procedures, and operations to ensure First Command meets privacy requirements and government regulations for the protection of PII. This not only includes data inventory & analysis but also supporting the strategies and solutions that minimize risk. 

     

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    • Support evaluation of the company's data privacy risks
    • Support the development and implementation of solutions to minimize those risks.
    • Collaborate with business units to identify solutions to minimize data privacy risks and communicates the company's position on data privacy to key stakeholders.
    • Assist in development of data privacy guidelines
    • Document data privacy legal and regulatory requirements
    • Assist in regular review of company data privacy policies and procedures and recommend improvements.
    • Provide support for data inventories and maps.
    • Assist in conducting data privacy risk and impact assessments.
    • Support the manager in development and documentation of program metrics.
    • Support the management of inquiry requests, and incident and breach management.
    • Collaborate with the cyber security team on a variety of overlapping initiatives and responsibilities.
    • Assist in the development of annual data privacy training materials and business unit specific training and manages employee compliance with required training.
    • Assist in development of presentation materials for executive committees and department meetings.
    • Assist and support ongoing records management program planning and implementation activities.
    • Assist in the regular review of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations.

     

    WHAT SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU NEED?

     

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with Data Privacy or Information Security

     

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 3+ years of experience in Information Security or Data Privacy
    • Data Analytics experience a plus (preferred)
    • Financial Services or Banking experience preferred

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (ALL ARE REQUIRED)

     

    • Diligence in producing and maintaining documentation and evidence, especially for compliance activities
    • Possess strong analytical skills
    • Must be a self-starter and comfortable with self-directed learning on industry risks and changes
    • Must be able to perform risk analysis and provide recommendation to mitigate risk
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to speak confidently when dealing with internal constituents
    • Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
    • Build domain knowledge of our environment to understand long-term risk areas that will develop as the systems evolve
    • Incorporate industry Data Privacy standards into practical operations, and application development practices

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an Approved School of Nursing.

    REQUIRED LICENSES: [Kentucky, United States] Registered Nurses  Must be licensed by the state of Kentucky as a Registered Nurse, as well as NRP/BLS/ACLS certified.
