    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical upkeep of the property, including performing repairs, maintaining the grounds, collecting trash, blowing leaves, etc, as well as performing necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, after all repairs are done.   

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs daily rounds, logging all required readings from systems, alerting supervisor or GM of any areas needing repair.
    • Performs repairs in all areas of hotel and grounds as needed.
    • Maintains or assists in maintaining and monitoring water features.
    • Communicates to front desk staff regarding status of repairs in rooms.
    • Responds to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Logs in and maintains contact through assigned devices/software.
    • Cleans up after all repairs in public spaces and meeting rooms, alerting Lead Housekeeper that the area is ready to be sanitized.
    • Sanitize all tools needed on a daily basis, including devices at the beginning and end of each shift.
    • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
    • Maintains a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests and fellow staff members
    • Perform special projects as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned. The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems
    • Knowledge of basic carpentry skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least two years maintenance or related construction experience preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Able to stand for prolonged periods
    • Able to climb ladders
    • Able to climb stairs and assist guests with luggage
    • Able to walk hallways and perimeter of property
    • Able to twist, bend and reach
    • Able to lift up to 75 pounds
