    This position will be based out of our San Ramon office but is currently working remotely from home. It will require regular travel to the office when conditions allow.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    You’ll learn valuable Excel skills, professional communication & workflow management

    As a new Compliance Staff Auditor, you will:

    • Audit employer contributions made to trust funds (employee benefit plans) to verify employer compliance with contractual obligations
    • Work independently to perform testing and analyze payroll data, which involves reconciliation of employer and trust fund data sets
    • Work with managers and senior staff to resolve auditing challenges
    • Prepare payroll audit reports for management review
    • Provide management with timely status reports on current work
    • Help maintain our thriving client relationships through timely and professional communication
    • As you progress in this position, you will provide training, coaching and guidance to new auditors and learn valuable leadership skills

    Lindquist provides an extensive orientation program and training for all new employees to help ensure their long-term success, professional development, and career growth. The training program is several weeks, and while delivered remotely, technology allows this to be very much hands-on and collaborative experience. After training, you will work independently to perform payroll audits under the guidance of skilled senior auditors and managers.

    QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A STAFF AUDITOR

    • Strong work ethic and self-starter approach
    • Eager to learn all aspects of Lindquist’s compliance audit practices
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables & data analysis), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.

    EDUCATION

    Lindquist requires all Staff Auditors to have a 4-year college degree in any discipline. Although business majors are preferred, staff with background in social sciences, communications and liberal arts are often very successful auditors.
