The ultimate goal of all back of house employees is to prepare exceptional quality food creating a unique experience for each customer. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fry and oven cooking, prepping, cutting in a high volume quick service or fast casual restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
Prepare food and present to specifications in an appealing manner
Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members when appropriate
Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
Follow all food safety regulations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
Implement new menu items as created and instructed
Performs other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes a plus
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
Excellent time management skills
Works well in a respectful, disciplined, high energy, positive team environment
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
