    Company Overview: Join our Team! The Big Chill 30A is a family friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts 5 restaurants, 3 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round, from 7am to 10pm.

    We are now hiring for the fall/winter season! Open positions include both Line Cooks and Line Cook TRAINERS (depending on experience). Our restaurant concepts include Local Smoke BBQ, Mile Marker 15 and Tacklebox, all with unique menu offerings. We have both Full Time and Part Time positions available and offer flexible scheduling for students/seasonal employees.

    Responsibilities:

    Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices

    Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock

    Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation according to recipes and spec sheets

    Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure quality and consistency

    Follow all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling and storage

    Assist with prep work and cleaning duties as needed

    Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations

    Monitor food freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste

    Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience at a high-volume restaurant preferred

    ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification a plus (we will provide the classroom training for your certification)

    Effective communication skills

    Ability to lift 30+ lbs

    Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
