Company Overview Bear Flag Fish Company is opening our Costa Mesa location Summer of 2026! Bear Flag Fish Co. is looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team. Our line cooks play a key role in delivering fresh, high-quality food while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to Bear Flag recipes and standards

Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes

Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service

Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Communicate clearly with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff

Maintain a clean and organized work station throughout the shift

Assist with prep work, stocking, and closing duties as needed

Qualifications

Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards

Ability to stay organized and multitask under pressure

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced kitchen environment
